Bad Beer for a Good Cause – Lonerider Spirits
LONERIDER SPIRITS, LONERIDER BREWING COMPANY, TOPO ORGANIC DISTILLERY
AND NEXT CENTURY SPIRITS PARTNER WITH NC BREWERS TO MAKE
HAND SANITIZER TO FIGHT COVID-19
The “Bad Beer for a Good Cause” campaign has Topo Organic Distillery producing
free hand sanitizer for first responders, medical staff and other government entities
with beer donations from NC breweries.
Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, NC (April 3, 2020) – Lonerider Spirits, Lonerider Brewing Company, Topo Organic Distillery and Next Century Spirits have partnered to help breweries in NC to make beer into free hand sanitizer for first responders, medical staff and government entities. Also, for each donation of beer the participating brewery would receive a proportionate allotment of hand sanitizer to give to their staff and customers.
Next Century Spirits has donated the totes to contain the beer at Topo Organic Distillery, Lonerider Spirits and Lonerider Brewing Company will work to use their social channels to promote the “Bad Beer for a Good Cause” to Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill breweries and hopefully expand the campaign to breweries statewide to help battle COVID-19.
Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill breweries that wish to participate in the campaign should do the following:
BEER DELIVERIES TO TOPO ORGANIC DISTILLERY CAN START THIS FRIDAY (4/3)
- If the brewery has a 270 gallon plastic tote they empty the kegs into a tote. If they can deliver the tote on a truck to Topo Organic Distillery at 505 W Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC 27516. Hours are between 9am and 5pm weekdays.
Esteban McMahan (cell 919-656-6700) would be the contact for unloading. The tote will be returned once the beer is pumped out (the brewery may need to leave it).
- If the brewery does not have a 270 gallon plastic tote they can bring their kegs and pump their beer into plastic totes that will be at Topo (address above).
